Amanda’s Story

For me, exercise during pregnancy consisted of walking the dog almost everyday.

We were also renovating so I was painting, sanding and doing other small labour jobs.

I didn’t do a true workout but I was very active where ever possible.

I had a scheduled c-section so post birth, I was told by a nurse to help get my core better especially after having a cesarean.

It was recommended to take up Pilates so I started after about 2 months.

Personally I found it a great exercise and all the work outs were able to be customized around a cesarean.

It probably took the best part of 6 - 9 months before I felt confident enough to do classic ab work outs.

I loved the way my body recovered. It took a few months to finally feel like my old self but I got there.

It is truly an amazing feeling that all of your skin that once protected your baby has begun returning to where it was.

I now have a physical job which keeps me fit, continue to walk the dog daily, run after my toddler and do zoom workouts once a week.

After three years, I now feel fighting fit again!
