Lauren Sutton

Hi, I’m Lauren, Studio Owner of Fitness Fix Pilates and Personal Training.

Although I have always been active, as a teenager, I struggled with bad posture and a sore back among other health issues which forced me to change my lifestyle. I began training at my local gym quite regularly and seeking professional help to get my health in check, which sparked my interest in fitness, over all well-being and eventually to finding Pilates.

I instantly fell in love with the gym and how it made me feel after so many years of struggling health wise, coupled with my regular reformer Pilates practice, I was amazed how quickly my back pain was resolved, how much stronger I felt during and after a workout as well as the overall change in my body and head space.

From the results I was receiving as well as the way I was feeling both inside and out from merely learning how to activate my muscles properly, stretching and strengthening my body through the gym and Pilates, I knew I had to learn more and wanted to find a way to share this feeling I was experiencing with others who may have faced the same struggles.

In 2012, I began my studies initially as a Personal Trainer and completed both my certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness, along with certificates in Barre Attack, Boxing, Yoga and TRX.

Wanting to combine both fitness style workouts with Pilates, I went on to complete my Matwork certificates, Reformer Pilates and Pre & Post Natal Pilates with Studio Pilates.

After working at many different gyms and studios, as well as running my own outdoor fitness business working with Mums, I realised I wanted to be able to help and inspire as many people as I could and encourage them to find what felt right for them and their body, so I took the plunge and opened Fitness Fix in 2016. The scariest, nerve racking yet most exciting moment of my career and one I am forever pinching myself over.

Over the last few years this little studio has grown beyond anything I could imagine. From being a one man band to now being a team of 9, I am so proud of the glow up. We have the most amazing instructors I am so very grateful for, beautiful clients who inspire and motivate me and a space I can honestly call home and my happy place.

This gratitude has only amplified since becoming a mum myself and needing to lean on our amazing team to run the studio while I am no longer able to teach every day. It has also motivated me to continue to provide a safe, supportive and fun space for others in particular mums like myself to move with their little ones in tow because our self care matters as well; both mentally and physically. If I can provide a space mums can workout in whilst still being able to bring their little ones or beautiful bump and ensure they can still get their movement fix in by doing so, then I am one happy, inspired mama!

Every week, I have had the pleasure in teaching and helping so many beautiful people move and succeed, worked with so many amazing Mums giving them the ability to move both pre and post pregnancy and have made so many lovely friendships along the way.

I truly believe if you love and enjoy what you do and you feel comfortable, it easily becomes apart of your routine. The moment I found my fitness fix, it was life changing and I want to be able to share that same feeling with others!

I aspire to make everyone feel welcome in my studio and in my classes, I want to get to know everyone, to make them feel comfortable all the while helping them achieve and feel amazing in their own body. So regardless of your age, fitness level or injuries- I would love to have you in one of mine or one of our instructors classes- I hope to see you soon!
